A designer and manufacturer of custom flavors and fragrances wanted a new image for their website. The site was very scientific in its look and tone and the company wanted to position itself towards general businesses, manufacturers and investors. It also was not achieving the search engine rankings it desired.

The company had minimal text on the home page, which hindered its search engine visibility. The stock quotes and corporate information were buried in the "About Us" section. If a visitor wanted to receive a stock quote, they would be redirected to a different site. In terms of branding, the site was not designed to include the colors of the company's logo. The Site Site needed to address all these issues while still designing an attractive website that reflected their creative product.
Website Design & Development Solution
The Site Site completely redesigned their website. We added keyword-rich text to all the pages and especially concentrated on the home page. The page names and menu keys were renamed to be easier to understand. We made "Investor Relations" a clear option available on the home page. We redesigned the architecture of the site so that when a visitor clicks to receive a stock quote, they do not have to leave the site completely. We incorporated the company's logo colors of black and red throughout the site to increase brand awareness.
Results
The client was very pleased with the site's redesign. By increasing text and reducing graphics, the company's visibility on the search engines will be greatly enhanced. We were able to keep the creative integrity of the site while improving brand awareness and altering its original science-oriented image to a more business-related appearance. The new site is easier to navigate and enables stockholders to clearly find important information.
